1. Introduction

Welcome to Tascey. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Tascey platform, website, applications, products and services. By creating an account, accessing, or using Tascey, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

2. About Tascey

Tascey is a global freelance marketplace that connects clients and independent freelancers. Tascey provides a platform for users to discover services, create contracts, fund milestones, communicate, and manage projects. Tascey is not an employer, agency, or party to agreements between clients and freelancers.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Tascey.
• You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You may not create multiple accounts to bypass restrictions or suspensions.
• Tascey may require identity verification at any time.

4. Marketplace Services

Clients may post jobs, purchase services, fund milestones, and hire freelancers through the platform. Freelancers may submit proposals, offer services, complete work, and receive payments according to the agreed contract terms.

5. Contracts & Milestones

When a client hires a freelancer or purchases a service, a contract may be created on the platform. Milestones may be funded by the client and held until completion, approval, refund, dispute resolution, or other actions permitted by these Terms.

6. Escrow Services

Funds deposited for milestone-based work may be held in escrow or a designated holding arrangement until release conditions are met. Tascey reserves the right to place holds, delays, reviews, or restrictions on transactions where required for compliance, fraud prevention, disputes, or payment processing requirements.

7. Payments & Fees

• Clients agree to pay all applicable fees associated with contracts and services.
• Freelancers may be charged platform service fees.
• Currency conversion, payment processor fees, banking fees, or withdrawal fees may apply.
• All fees are subject to change with reasonable notice.
• Users must not arrange or complete transactions outside Tascey for the purpose of avoiding applicable platform fees or bypassing Tascey's payment, contract, or dispute processes.

8. Withdrawals

Freelancers may request withdrawal of eligible funds subject to account verification, fraud checks, payment processor requirements, reserve policies, and applicable laws. Tascey reserves the right to delay, reject, or reverse withdrawals where necessary.

9. Disputes & Resolution

If a dispute arises between a client and freelancer, Tascey may review available evidence and facilitate a resolution process. Tascey's decisions regarding escrowed funds, platform conduct, and account actions will be made in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

10. Chargebacks & Payment Reversals

If a payment is reversed, disputed, charged back, or determined to be fraudulent, Tascey may recover funds where legally permitted, suspend accounts, place holds on balances, reverse transactions, or take other actions necessary to protect the platform and its users.

11. Prohibited Activities

Users must not engage in, attempt, encourage, or assist with any of the following:

• Fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, or impersonating activity.
• Money laundering, payment abuse, or other financial misconduct.
• Copyright infringement or misuse of another person's intellectual property.
• Harassment, threats, discrimination, or abusive conduct.
• Attempting to evade platform fees, payment processes, contracts, dispute procedures, or other platform safeguards.
• Uploading malicious software, harmful content, or content intended to compromise platform or user security.
• Providing false, materially misleading, or deceptive profile details, service descriptions, portfolio information, or pricing.
• Violating applicable laws, regulations, or these Terms.

12. External Links, Contact Details & Off-Platform Activity

Tascey is designed to help users discover services, communicate, post jobs, submit proposals, enter into contracts, and manage eligible payments through the platform. To protect users and the integrity of the marketplace, users must not use Tascey to divert other users or platform activity away from Tascey.

Unless Tascey has expressly authorised an exception in writing or through a platform feature, users must not post, send, request, exchange, or use external links, contact details, or invitations for the purpose of arranging contact, hiring, contracting, payment, or business dealings outside Tascey. This rule applies across all areas of the platform, including but not limited to:

• Private messages, chats, attachments, and other communications.
• User profiles, biographies, portfolio entries, work samples, and profile images.
• Gigs, service listings, package descriptions, galleries, and uploaded files.
• Job posts, proposals, applications, offers, contracts, and project descriptions.
• Reviews, comments, support communications, and any other user-generated content.

Prohibited methods include, without limitation, sharing or requesting phone numbers, personal email addresses, messaging-app usernames, social-media accounts, external website links, QR codes, booking or payment links, invitations to contact users elsewhere, or details written in altered, spaced, coded, disguised, image-based, or indirect forms to avoid detection. Users must not ask or encourage another person to move a Tascey-originated opportunity or transaction off the platform, whether directly or through a third party.

External links are not permitted in portfolios or other user-generated areas where Tascey does not expressly allow them. Users are responsible for ensuring that text, images, files, and other material they upload or send comply with this rule. Tascey may remove content or request changes where it considers this necessary to enforce these Terms or protect users.

Users must not arrange or complete off-platform transactions to avoid Tascey's fees or bypass its contract, payment, milestone, or dispute processes. Tascey cannot provide its platform-based payment, contract, or dispute protections for arrangements made independently between users outside the platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or legal obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

The examples above are not exhaustive. Any other conduct, by any means, that reasonably appears intended to evade these rules, divert users or business away from Tascey, conceal prohibited contact details, bypass platform safeguards, facilitate fraud, or undermine the safety or integrity of the marketplace may be reviewed and acted upon under these Terms. Tascey may consider the available context and evidence before deciding what action is appropriate; mere suspicion alone does not automatically establish a violation.

13. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, trademarks, logos, software, and materials remain the property of Tascey or its licensors unless otherwise stated. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

14. Monitoring, Enforcement, Suspension & Termination

To protect users and the marketplace, Tascey may review content, listings, communications, reports, and account activity to the extent permitted by applicable law and its Privacy Policy. Tascey may request clarification or additional information where appropriate.

Where Tascey reasonably determines, based on available information, that a user has violated these Terms, attempted to evade them, engaged in suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity, or created a material legal, financial, security, or platform-integrity risk, Tascey may take proportionate action. Actions may include removing or disabling content, requiring corrections, issuing a warning, limiting features, placing a transaction or withdrawal on hold, restricting an account, temporarily suspending access, or permanently terminating an account.

Depending on the seriousness of the matter, the risk to users or the platform, applicable legal requirements, and whether conduct is repeated, Tascey may act without a prior warning or cure period where reasonably necessary. Where appropriate, Tascey may give the user an opportunity to explain or correct the issue. Users must not attempt to evade an enforcement action by creating another account or using another person to continue the prohibited activity.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tascey shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from the use of the platform. Users are responsible for independent arrangements they choose to make outside Tascey. Tascey does not guarantee the conduct, identity, quality, or performance of every user and cannot provide platform-based protections for transactions or agreements conducted independently outside the platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

16. Changes to These Terms

Tascey may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Where required by applicable law, Tascey will provide notice or obtain consent for material changes. Continued use of the platform after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where legally permitted.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless otherwise required by applicable law.
